A child

I’m  so  scared  without  you  by  my  side
Like  a  child  left  alone  in  this  world
Full  of  pain.  This  night  I’ve  cried.
And  you’ll  guess  without  telling  a  word.

You  can  always  guess  when  I’m  hurt
Though  my  lips  don’t  trumble  at  all.
You  come  close  –  I  feel  being  cured,
Back  to  life  as  I  will  never  fall.

Only  listening  to  you  breaks  my  wall
And  the  wings  feel  freedom  again
With  no  fear  for  step  and  walk
With  no  fear  for  such  usual  pain.

Stop  and  think.  Hand  in  hand.  You  and  me.
But,  oh,  no,  you’re  not  by  my  side.
What  amazing  this  world  could  be
Without  fear.  This  night  I’ll  cry.
